Laine v3 is live at Royal Oak today, answering real patients. When we replay real front-desk calls through her, she scores higher than today’s Laine and books more than twice as many appointments.
We took real calls today’s Laine answered and played each one again through Laine v3, with the practice’s real schedule and rules. Both versions were scored the same way.
| Practice | Calls | Today’s Laine | Laine v3 | Booked | New patients |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Royal Oak | 22 | 7.3 | 8.6 | 4 → 12 | 7.3 → 8.8 |
| Springhill | 25 | 7.3 | 8.2 | 4 → 8 | 7.3 → 8.3 |
| Both | 47 | 7.3 | 8.4 | 8 → 20 |
Scores out of 10, weighted toward the outcome: did the caller get what they called for? Run on October 7 on the version that is live today.
Real patients, real bookings, and the practice team kept in the loop on every call.
Ten improvements went live this week. Each one came from real calls and was measured before and after.
When a call ends, Laine records how it went and scores it. A daily review shows exactly where to make her better next.
We play a practice’s real calls through a new version to prove the improvement on real conversations.
She gathers the details, then reads the time back once. The patient says yes, and it’s booked.
If the patient is ready to hang up, she makes sure the booking has landed and tells them it’s done.
A parent can move or cancel their child’s appointment in one call.
She knows the practice’s team and answers questions about who works there.
Anything she can’t do on the call goes to the team as a request, so every patient gets an answer.
She uses the spelling the patient gives and finds their record without asking twice.
She keeps the conversation flowing and picks it back up smoothly if the voice model pauses.
Before a practice moves to v3, we check that every visit patients can book has a provider, a chair and openings soon.
Laine v3 keeps everything practices rely on today and adds a more natural conversation with every action checked before it happens.

We called Royal Oak’s real line and checked the practice’s schedule after every call. A test only passes when the schedule shows the change.

We test every new AI model on real calls before it reaches a patient, so Laine always runs on what works best for practices.
Laine speaks with Google’s Gemini Live. Google’s newest generation, with deeper reasoning, scores nearly twice as high on independent tests of booking-style tasks.
We are building Laine’s booking flow to take full advantage of it, and our replay tests mean we can prove each upgrade in an hour.
A specialised judgment model confirms names, visit types and the patient’s yes, typically in under a fifth of a second.
This week we tested it against OpenAI’s newest alternative on thousands of real call moments. Ours came out ahead: more reliable, faster and about a quarter of the cost.
The AI holds the conversation. Laine’s own system decides what can be booked, follows the practice’s rules, and makes the change only after the patient says yes.
Patients call about money every day, and some answers are better in writing. Laine handles both while the patient is still on the line, so the call ends with the job done.
While they’re still talking, she texts the details of the booking she just made, or the practice’s address and phone. It comes from the practice’s own texting number, and she never sends the same text twice.
Once she has confirmed who is calling, she reads the practice’s own records and tells the patient exactly how much insurance paid, and when. If the patient had more than one filling, she asks which one first.
Any money question that needs a person goes straight to the team as a billing follow-up, linked to the call.
Where the practice asks for a deposit, she offers it right after the booking: “Can I text you a secure link to pay it?” The patient pays on a secure checkout page, so card numbers are never spoken on the call. Paid is confirmed automatically and recorded with the visit.
She texts the patient’s treatment plan with its secure payment link, and sends new patients their forms the moment they book. Then: “What do I owe?” answered with the balance and a link to pay it.
The visit is booked and confirmed first. The deposit never gets in the way of the appointment.
The amount and the visits it applies to come from the practice’s own settings. She explains it warmly and asks before she sends anything.
The patient pays on the secure page. The practice sees it as paid, with a receipt and the visit it belongs to.
Practices already send payment requests, treatment plans and forms packets through Laine today. v3 brings each of them into the phone call, so the patient can act while they are still talking to her.
Practices move to v3 one at a time, each one proven on its own calls first.

Practices trust Laine with more work when the results are visible and repeatable. That is how we lead.
The best demo is a practice that runs better every day.
Score every real call and replay real calls before every change.
Follow each practice’s exact scheduling rules, and check every practice’s setup before it moves.
Measure appointments attended and staff time saved, and turn great results into reference customers.
Voice captures what the patient needs, texting completes the follow-up, and insights show the team what to do next.
